This issue hasn’t been sent yet. It’s the re-engagement issue drafted in
newsletter/issue-01-draft.md, staged here so the archive layout is real. Sending follows the wave schedule in docs/03.
The Opener
Hey, it’s Ben from Take More Adventures.
It’s been a while — longer than I meant it to be. You signed up for TMA at some point because you wanted more adventure in your life, and then this newsletter went quiet. That’s on me, and I’m not going to pretend it didn’t happen.
Here’s the short version: I stepped back, and now I’m bringing TMA back properly — a rebuilt newsletter, a new website on the way, and a clear idea of what this should be. Not another firehose of travel deals. A weekly letter about adventure that gives more than it takes: where to go, how to do it right, gear that lasts, and stories from people who are actually out there.
If that’s not for you anymore, no hard feelings — there’s an unsubscribe link at the bottom and it works in one click. But if it is, stick around. This is issue one of the new era.
The Feature
Adventure that gives more than it takes — why TMA is doubling down on responsible adventure travel, and what that means practically for you.
The Field Guide
- Read: The Ultimate Guide to Eco-Tourism for Families
- Gear: one durable, buy-it-once pick from the sustainable camping gear guide
- Idea: one community-tourism trip worth building a year around
- Tip: the Leave No Trace practice most people get wrong
The Campfire
This block belongs to you — the readers. Every week I’ll share replies, trip photos, and questions from this community.
To kick it off, one question: What’s the one adventure you keep putting off — and what’s actually stopping you?
Hit reply and tell me. I read everything, and next week I’ll share some of the answers (first names only, with permission).
